the 101 project

Because Jesus said "Go, preach the gospel to all" and "make disciples in all nations" our mission as Open Air Campaigners is to "present Christ by all means everywhere". The Apostle Paul said, "thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation." (see Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19, Romans 15:20)

God has raised us up as missionaries in America's most churchless cities.

According to Barna Research, San Francisco - San Jose (where Dan lives) is #1 and Monterey - Salinas (where Brenten lives) is #14 on the "most unchurched cities list". So in 2016, there were 7.8 million people in the Bay Area, but 4.7 million (60%) didn't go to church, 1.2 million were "never-churched" and 3.5 million had been "de-churched". Of those who did go to church regularly, another 1/3 became de-churched during the pandemic. Where are they going to hear?

Brenten lives 101 miles South of San Francisco, in the Monterey Bay area which consists of 707,000 people in 38 cities (14 in Santa Cruz County, 24 in Monterey County), where 1/2 of the 8.4 million people in this stretch of 101 miles are 50% "post-Christian". It's terrifying to think of where they'll go without Christ!

Our desire is to present Christ as Savior and Lord with both audio and visual means so that people everywhere within 101 miles may hear, believe, call on Jesus, be saved and added to the kingdom of God.

But we need your help to fund our time and travels to reach out to all 101 cities in the next 101 weeks. If 101 more Christians or churches give $101 per month to OAC NorCal Branch, both Dan and I would be fully funded to complete the 101 project within 101 weeks. Would you pray for us and ask God if you are called to partner with us? To sign up to give, you can now go to www.oacgive.com/usa or click here to initiate a donation to one of these funds: NorCal General Fund, Beaudoin - Daniel & Rebbecca, or Powers - Brenten & Lena.

We will update our outreach schedule weekly so you know where we are going, when, and how you can best help, whether through prayer, giving or going.

Bay Area / Silicon Valley

As a native of San Jose, and a street evangelist for over 13 years, Daniel frequently leads outreaches in San Jose, Campbell, Palo Alto and other Bay Area cities. One of our goals is to present Christ in all 101 cities in the Bay Area within 2 years.  Would you consider helping us reach this goal by supporting us in prayer and giving?

Monterey Bay / Santa Cruz

Brenten grew up in Santa Cruz and Montery and after serving as a missionary in Europe for 11 years, returned to dwell in Monterey county. Brenten and Dan reach out monthly in Santa Cruz, and Carmel, and 2 or 3 times per month in Monterey. We are praying about starting a bi-lingual park outreach in Salinas.

Greater Sacramento Area

Jesus said "you will be my witnesses from Jerusalem... to the ends of the earth." We are seeking to spread the gospel across Northern California by partnering with churches and equipping Christians further north and further inland to Yuba City, Lake Tahoe and other parts of the greater Sacramento area. Would your church be interested?

How shall they be saved?

Romans 10:13-15

13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved"

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?

15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!"

Would you consider sending us to preach? Your prayers and giving may lead to the salvation of many souls locally and globally. You can send donations to the Beaudoin's or the Powers' funds through oacgive.org
