Weekend Outreach - 6/11 and 6/12/21 (Dan)

Updated: Jun 14, 2021

As I write this, I'm on the corner of 4th and San Mateo Dr. in downtown San Mateo. it's been a good couple of days of outreach and recon for OAC Norcal.

Friday I took my wife to visit a friend near Santa Cruz, and at up my board on a local park to prepare some Sunday School and Vacation Bible School messages. Not only did I have a good conversation, but I was able to hand out some tracts when people came up to see what I was doing. One man who was there with his kids recognized the board from a message Brenten had given at the beach, and had been encouraged by our radio shows. I think I'll try to do more of my prep work in puplic parks. It was a very fruitful environment.

In the afternoon and evening Brenten and I headed to San Francisco for more recon and Outreach. We visited the downtown shopping district, Fisherman's Wharf, and Pier 39, and ended up at Ocean Beach. We were only planning on checking out the area and doing a short video, but almost immediately Brenten was in a conversation with a man named Aaron. He was very passionate and intelligent, and the conversation was fun to listen to. Please pray for Aaron. Brenten got his contact info, and we're hoping to follow up.

This morning I headed to the San Mateo Farmers Market, the biggest market in the Bay Area. They just changed locations, and the market is very large and very busy. I hope to be able to set up the someone soon. Please pray God opens that door.

Finally, there's downtown San Mateo. It's a very nice day, and there's plenty of foot traffic, but it's hard to get tracts into people's hands. Please pray God softens hearts and allows for some good conversations.

Also, please pray for tomorrow's Sunday School message. Thanks!
